Approach:
I know that each person develops in the context of his/her/their social environment. I work with clients so that we can understand how their past and present life circumstances impact their current identity and experiences. I use trauma-informed, somatic based interventions to help my clients see themselves as separate from their symptoms and histories and more deeply uncover who they truly are.
In my work, I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and PTSD. My approach is to work as a guide. I believe that each person is their own expert on their individual self, and I trust their inner healer to direct therapy. Our body holds much of our trauma, emotion, and memories that we have. When we tap into the power of this energy we are able to access, process, and shape our emotions and memories in new ways. Whether you choose to do this with the support of medicine or not, I work mindfully to empower you to become your own healer.
